Every family has a story worth protecting.
We help families capture their history — the recipes, the reasons, the truth behind why they did what they did — before those stories are lost. The hat is how you wear the mission.
The questions I never got to ask.
On April 7, 1991 — two weeks before my 18th birthday — my father, Winston Wells, passed away suddenly. I was old enough to think I had time. I didn't.
The questions I never thought to ask became the questions I'd carry for the rest of my life. Why did he make the choices he made? What did he want me to know?
Protect Our Culture is a call to action: document your stories, your recipes, your history — so the people you love can hear, in your own words, why you did what you did.
This is our why. It's s a reminder to start the conversation while you still can.
Start the conversation with 25 questions.
We created the Family Story Interview Guide to help you sit down with your parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles, and ask the things that matter before it's too late.
